Jean Daniel, founder and editor-in-chief of Le Nouvel Observateur, leading left French newsweekly, was a longtime friend of Albert Camus and gave the keynote address on April 9 at CAMUS NOW, the colloquium organized by The Center for French Civilisation and Culture at NYU to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Camus (1913-1960). Excerpts from Daniel's address are on squaringoff.blip.tv and at http://www.youtube.com/nothingofficial.
"Chaque fois que l'opprimé prend les armes au nom de la justice, il fait un pas dans le camp de l'injustice."
